I started out in digital design and UX engineering, and have been leading brand creative and product design teams for the last 15 years. Highlights include the current NIKEiD builder, global design systems for MasterCard, brand & design platform for Eko, an election mapping tool for the 2004 election, a purpose platform for AARP, and a side-hustle – Sublime Heroics.

In 2007 I joined R/GA in NY as Design Director, working on Nike. R/GA’s bauhaus and digital-native approach to brand and service design felt like re-uniting with siblings from other mothers, and over the years, as a Creative Director, I lead both large or small brand and/or systematic design teams for some of our biggest clients, like MasterCard, Samsung, Walmart, AARP, ESPN, and multiple groups across Nike.

In 2017 we relocated to San Francisco, and I had been itching make some apparel, and build out a full stack ecomm project. Partly because it had been a while since I last did a proper personal project. So Sublime Heroics was born, and it has been an insightful journey, working from a blank sketch book, to shipping over 10k pairs of cycling socks to date. As a former competitive cyclists, it’s been a great way to connect some dots.

Over the years, I’ve won numerous awards, taught classes in Design, UX, and Advertising, got to work with world-class designers, creatives, photographers, and athletes. I have an almost-BA degree in electrical engineering/CS, and I’m still as active as a developer and consider it very much a part of my craft.

In 2019 I joined Eko, a small startup in Berkeley, and I’ve been leading brand creative and design work as we’ve doubled in size many times over since. I manage our brand, art direction, commercial shoots, design systems, and user experience across multiple channels & mediums.
